Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Generous aromas of liquorice and ripe blackberry drift from the glass followed by hints of vanilla, earth and spice. Rich, plush and possessing surprising depth despite its modest price, the palate is awash with ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit. Undertones of vanillin oak and spicy earth are also apparent. Velvet smooth tannins lead into an opulently textured aftertaste of unexpected length.
